On both sides of the family my dad’s brother when I was a little girl always seemed to have a camera with him when he came up from London and my mum’s brother the same . Only in the last few years I discovered that my uncle (mum’s brother) used to run the camera club when he taught at Barnsley Grammar school back in the 1970’s and I have no memory of him not taking photos when on holiday here in Wales or when we as a family been over to Norway. My first camera was for our first family holiday to visit my relatives in Oslo back in July/August 1979 I was only 8 years old and my parents bought me my first camera a Kodak 126 compact camera wit...

The interview below.  Interview by Mair Thomas with Jade Vickers: Sunday 18th of October    When did your interest in photography start?    I started college when I was fifteen years old and I studied art and design, so I would say I have always been quite the creative person, I enjoyed my years in college a lot. After college I worked for a few years and my creativity became less and less, I would do the odd drawing or painting at home but I started to forget how much I enjoyed it as I was always so busy and then around five years ago, I received a Canon Rebel XS camera as a present. LLuniau o Mostyn Street Llandudno or Ford, mi gymerais y cyfle I ail dynnu a rhyfedd meddwl fod y stryd wedi newid gymaint mewn bron i 200 mlynedd Ond wrth edrych ar yr adeiladau maen hadd gweld yr old yn yr adeiladau gwreiddiol wrth edrych i fyny uwchbed lefel y siopa.  Dydd Mercher mi nes i fy ymweliad cyntaf o llyfrgell/archifdy Conwy ar safle hen ysgol Bodlondeb.   Wedi rhoi apel ar dudalen cymdeithasol Llandudno facebook heddiw.  Hi all💖 my BA photography course work this year is comparing images of Llandudno taken Victorian era of Llandudno to how it is now revisiting locations I'm research plus the extra twist of taking images from high view points eg roof tops centre of town this inspired by the work of photographer John Davies Liverpool. I'm appealing if possible of any shops or offices in Llandudno with roof top access I could photograph from🎓📷 I have taken over 2 sessions images from the top of the Victoria centre in the last few weeks but want other roof tops. Helo ar ol cyfnod hir o ddim fod allan hefo fy nghamera mi ges gyfnod pnawn Dydd Mawrth 29ain o Fedi yn tynnu lluniau o amgylch Llandudno. Mi gymerais gyfle I dynnu lluniau o ben to y maes parcio canolfan siopa Fictoria yn y dref a diolch am dywydd braf ac awyr las. Wrth gerdded o amgylch mi oedd yn bosib gweld penserniaeth y dref o uchder. Dyma ydi galeri or amser yma.  Hello after a long time of not being out with my camera I had the opportunity to go out with my camera to take images around Llandudno. I took the opportunity on the afternoon Tuesday 29th September 2020 taking images of Llandudno from the car park roof of the Victoria Centre shopping centre and a lovely blue sky . by walking around it was possible to see the different architecture of the town from a height. This gallery is a taste of this session .
